Every year at SK Biology, we see countless students walk through our doors with big dreams. Many come with their own set of challenges, and we do our best to support them, offering 100% scholarships to those in need. But every once in a while, a student comes along whose story redefines the very meaning of resilience.
Today, I want to share the extraordinary journey of my student, Sudipto, who recently secured State Rank 7 (Unreserved) in NEET 2025
Sudipto belongs to a remote area near Udaipur, Tripura. When I visited him recently, I had to navigate terrain where even reaching by a two-wheeler is tough. He and his mother live in a simple mud house built on government land. They have no fixed income, and covering even basic daily meals is a profound struggle.
The tragedy of Sudipto’s life started early. When he was just in Class 3, he lost his father to a snakebite. In their remote village, there were no proper hospitals nearby. By the time his father was rushed to the neighboring district hospital, they tragically found out there was no antivenom available.
It is from this heartbreaking reality, Where the lack of basic healthcare shattered his family that a future doctor was born.
The Academic Hustle: From Online to Offline
Despite the immense financial and emotional hurdles, Sudipto never let go of his education. He studied at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya from Class 6 to 10, which gave him a crucial foundation. In Class 11, he moved to an English medium school in Udaipur.
Initially, Sudipto relied entirely on free online resources. However, realizing the fierce competition of NEET, he made the difficult shift to Agartala for offline coaching. The transition from Class 10 to 11 is overwhelming for anyone, but Sudipto tackled it with incredible maturity:
We all know that smartphones and social media algorithms are the biggest traps for a NEET aspirant. Sudipto struggled with YouTube shorts and reels just like any other teenager.
But what set him apart was his extreme accountability. Realizing his lack of control over digital distractions, Sudipto literally handed his smartphone over to me. He told me to keep it and switched to a basic keypad phone for the entirety of his Class 12 preparation. That is the level of sacrifice it takes to secure a top state rank!
Reading Between the Lines: While many students just memorize the NCERT biology textbook, Sudipto investigated why specific words were used. If the book said “most of” instead of “all,” he dug into the evolutionary history of the organism to understand the exception.
- Strengthen their conceptual clarity
- Improve MCQ solving speed
- Revise NCERT-based concepts quickly
- Score easy marks in NEET Biology
At Dr. SK Biology, our goal is to make difficult topics easier through structured notes and concept-focused learning.
A Man of Unshakable Integrity
Sudipto’s character shines not just in his hard work, but in his loyalty. After his NEET results were announced, a national test-series institute where he had merely taken a few mock tests put up massive banners claiming his success as their own.
Sudipto was genuinely upset by this. He felt that his true teachers—the ones who had taught him physics, chemistry, and biology for free throughout the year—were the only ones who deserved the credit. In an era where success is quickly commercialized, his integrity is truly inspiring.

Sudipto is now looking forward to counseling and is expected to secure a seat in top-tier medical institutions like Calcutta National Medical College or Grant Medical College, Mumbai.
I recently sat down with Sudipto for a heart-to-heart conversation about his study habits, how to manage backlogs, and how to conquer the difficult biology questions we saw in NEET 2025.
